Patsy Rozier Carter, age 73, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at her home. She was born in Robeson County on March 22, 1951 to Thomas Hair Rozier and Nancy Florence Fields Rozier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Walter Cleveland Carter, and her brother, Randy Rozier.

Patsy loved the beach and spending time with her granddaughter, Anna. She attended and graduated from Littlefield High School, where she was voted Homecoming Queen. After high school she attended and graduated from Robeson Tech with an LPN degree. Patsy loved her job working at a health food store with her sister.

Patsy is survived by daughters, Wendy Carter Rice and husband Jason and Heather Carter Jernigan and husband Philliph; sons, William "Little Bill" Carter III and Matthew Carter; stepdaughter, Katie E. Carter; granddaughter, Anna Rice; step-grandson, Carter Sutton; and sister, Sue Rozier West.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Ten Mile Baptist Church, 5176 Barker Ten Mile Rd, Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. David McClellan officiating. Burial will follow at Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery.
