Patricia Hodges Thrower, age 84, of Lumberton, NC died on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at GlenFlora in Lumberton.  She was born in Sampson County, NC on April 26, 1932 to the late Ed F. Hodges, Sr. and the late Hilda Vann Hodges.  She was previously employed by the Robeson County Department of Social Services.  She was a member of Lumberton First Baptist Church for 50 years, a member of Beta Sigma Phi, and a number of Bridge Clubs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ira Clay Thrower, Jr.; and a sister, Linda Hodges Sullivan.

Mrs. Thrower is survived by her daughters, Joy Martin (Mike) and Dawn Parker (Lane) both of Lumberton; a brother, Ed. F. Hodges, Jr. (D0nna) of Fairmont; a sister, Cindy Herring (Jim) of Dillon, SC; and grandchildren, Amanda Rozier, Michelle Martin, Amber Goodman, and Clay Parker.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont with Dr. David Elks officiating.  A time of visitation will follow the service.
