Mrs. Patricia West Sutton, 79, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on March 1, 1942 to the late Bunger West and the late Mary Byrd West. She was a former teacher at Fairmont Middle School and Orrum Middle School.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert West and Lloyd West, and a sister, Nell Walters.

She is survived by her husband, Clifton Sutton of the home; her children, Michael Sutton (Page) and Deidra Sutton (Dan), all of Fairmont, NC; four grandchildren: Kristi Britt (Brian), Samantha Dawson (Matt), Braeden Summerour, and Larkin Summerour; a great-grandchild, Drew Britt; and a special niece and nephew, David Walters of Fairmont, NC and Linda Coleman of Lumberton, NC.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Centerville Baptist Church, 3121 Centerville Church Road in Fairmont, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ed Wilcox officiating.

Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
