Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Carter Oxendine, of 2033 JW Rd Fairmont, NC was born May 20, 1953 in Robeson County.  She entered into eternal rest Monday, November 28 ^th , 2022 making her journey of 69 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother Cattie Mae Hayes and one sister Zelma Mae Carter McNeill.

She was employed by Converse Shoe Co. for 30 years.  She retired in August of 2022 as a Secretary for Rex Oxendine Farms with 15 years of service.  She served on the Whitehouse Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years as a Captain.  She was a graduate of Magnolia High School Class of 1971.  She enjoyed the beach, shopping, fast cars and her red lipstick.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Cleveland Oxendine, Jr of the home; her son Chad Oxendine of Charlotte; daughter-in-law Shirley Freeman-Oxendine of Fairmont.  One sister Sheila (Anthony) Hammonds of Lumberton, one brother Billy Joe "Bug" Carter of Lumberton; one special niece Lakisha Hammonds of Lumberton and one nephew Mickey (Earlene) McNeill of Lumberton and mother-in-law Bernetha Oxendine of Fairmont.  She leaves a great host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who have shown their support during her sickness.

A time of visitation will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 from 1:00-2:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services 1549 Marion Stage Rd. Fairmont. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation in the chapel at 2:00PM with Rev. Crafton Chavis officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
