Mrs. Patricia C. Hunt of 7902 Iona Church Rd, Fairmont was born June 8, 1933 starting a journey to her heavenly home and completed that journey of 81 years on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. Ms. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Florence Carter Clark, two sisters Alisha Jacobs and Cordie Jones, two brothers Adnell and Carlton Clark. Ms. Pat was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She was a devoted member of Piney Grove Church, she served as an usher, Sunday school teacher for 55 years, and on the Building Committee. She also served on the Burnt Swamp Baptist Association Sunday School Team for many years. She was a school teacher for 30 years and upon retirement she served for many years as Historian for the Robeson County Retired School Personnel. She also served on the LRDA Board of Directors and the Robeson County Health Department Board of Directors. Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years James Sanford Hunt of the home and one daughter Dr. Shirlene Hunt. Four sisters, Gladys Kerns of Fairmont, NC, Clementine Bartley of Fayetteville, NC, Janice Davis of San Antonio, TX, Sonja Ruth Schumacher of Palmer, AK, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Revs. Howard Jacobs, Davie Locklear, and Dr. Mike Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Fairmont.
