Paola Nicole Valentin-Velez Pittman, age 20, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her residence in Clarksville, TN. She was born in Puerto Rico on April 3, 1995 to Jose Valentin Calderon and Luz Velez-Perez. Born in Puerto Rico, she moved to the United States with her family in 2006. She graduated from Lumberton High School, studied at UNC-Pembroke until she moved to Kentucky where she was studying criminal psychology. She was married for one year. She is survived by her husband, Travis Pittman; her father, Jose Valentin Calderon; her mother, Luz Del Carmen Velez-Perez; brothers, Juan Valentin and Renato Valentin; a sister, Lizette Valentin; and father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Mary Ann Pittman. A time of visitation with the family will be on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton with Rev. Rev. L.H. Hatchell and Rev. Mike Pittman officiating.
