Mr. Oscar Lee "Butch" Rogers III, age 69, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at his home. He was born in Robeson County, NC on August 7, 1953, to the late Oscar Lee Rogers II and the late Lydia Ruth Singletary Rogers.

Butch was a longtime minister and deacon in his church. He will always be remembered for his intense love of his family and his love of old classic westerns.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Brunson Rogers, and his brother, William David Rogers.

He is survived by his son, Oscar "Joey" Rogers and fiancée Diamond Foster of Lumberton, NC; his daughters, Valerie F. Rogers of Wake Forest, NC and Noel Rogers and fiancé Jonathan Gillespie of Lumberton, NC; his granddaughter, Zyrianah Inez Rogers; his uncle, Rayfield Singletary; his aunt, Annette Jordan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 12:00-1:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM with Apostle Deborah Jones officiating.
