Mr. Oscar Earl Blackwell, age 80, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020. He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 17, 1939 to the late Gordon M. Blackwell and the late Inez Suggs Blackwell.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anetha Nance Blackwell.

He is survived by his son, David Earl Blackwell of Redwood City, CA; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; three brothers: Odell Blackwell of St. Pauls, NC, Bobby Blackwell of Tar Heel, NC, and J.W. Blackwell of Hope Mills, NC; and two sisters, Glenda Faye St. Romain of Tarboro, NC and Bernice Blackwell of High Point, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls, NC with Rev. Tim Williford, Rev. Chris Jones, Rev. Tim Tyner, and Bro. Gary Nance officiating.
