Olivia Lane McDaniel Barnes, 73, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015, at Southeastern Hospice House of Lumberton following an extensive illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Gurney and Ola Leggett McDaniel and her husband, Arthur Richard Barnes. She is survived by her son, A. Richard Barnes, Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Lumberton; two daughters: Laura Barnes Russ and husband, Jeff, of Beulaville and Julie Barnes Baxley and husband, W.L., of Lumberton; a brother, Lynn B. "Wimpy" McDaniel and wife, Juanita; a sister-in-law, Carol B. Robbins of Raleigh; five grandchildren: Jeremy and Seth Russ of Beulaville, Christina and Jason Barnes and Marissa Herring, all of Lumberton; a step-granddaughter, Brittany Baxley Bailey and husband, Patrick, of Hope Mills; two step-great granddaughters, Khloe and Emma Bailey of Hope Mills; and several nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will take place on Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. and other times at home. Following the visitation on Sunday, a funeral service will be held in Floyd Memorial Chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Russ, son-in-law, officiating. Burial will be on Monday, January 26, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lumberton Rescue Unit, P.O.
