Norman T. Prevatte, age 92, of Lumberton NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024 at his home.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 11, 1931 to the late Thurman and Flora Mildred Prevatte. After retiring from Sears, he continued to work on appliances and enjoyed his time working at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.  He was a member of the Air Force and married the love of his life Betty Lou Prevatte 71 years ago.

He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers (Ambrose, Berry, Elliot, Jean, Edgar and David) and his son Michael "Frog" Prevatte.

Mr. Prevatte is survived by his loving wife, Betty Lou Prevatte; his daughter, Norma Lou Britt and husband, Cliff Ray;  his grandson, Jeremy Britt and wife, Joni;  his granddaughter, Stacy Britt; his brother, Lewis Prevatte and his three great-grandsons who called him "PA NO" and were his pride and joy; Luke, Josiah and Jaxon Britt.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

The funeral will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 2:00PM at Antioch Baptist Church with the Pastor Mark Meadows, Pastor Blake Dodd and Pastor Jeff Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.
