Nina Cox McLellan A graveside service for Nina Cox McLellan of Columbia, SC will be held Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Broad Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Orrum, NC with the Rev. Joe Bounds officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Windsor United Methodist Church, Columbia, SC. Mrs. McLellan died on November 28, 2013 at her home in Columbia, SC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 24, 1924. A long-time employee of J .C. Penny, she worked for the company in both Raleigh, NC and Columbia, SC. Mrs. McLellan was a member of Windsor United Methodist Church. She was a talented seamstress and an avid gardener with a passion for growing flowers. Surviving are her sister, Betty Cox Edens of Lumberton, NC, brother Lawrence Cox of Homestead, FL, son-in-law Richard Slaughter Taylor of Columbia, SC, granddaughter Amy Taylor Wilson of Swansea, SC and husband Robert, five great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Ira Ricks McLellan, her daughter, Iris McLellan Taylor, and her grandson, Richard Craig Taylor.
