Mrs. Nellie Ruth Evans, age 80, of Lumberton, passed away at Monday, October 26, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Columbus County, NC on March 23, 1940 to the late Ivey Lee Pruitt and the late Annie Moody Pruitt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronearl Evans; two brothers, Clarence Henry Pruitt and Ivey Lee Pruitt, Jr.; a sister, Pattie Belle Britt and two grandchildren, Caitlyn Barnes and Robert Lacy Baker.

She is survived by her son, Kenny Evans, of the home; three daughters, Melinda Barnes of Lumberton, Debra Jean Bodiford of Evergreen and Patricia Ann Baker (Lacy) of Lumberton; a sister Alma Fields of Lumberton; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton with Rev. Kenneth Tart officiating.
