Neil John Hunt, 70, of Lumberton, NC, was called home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Stoney Hunt and Alberta Hunt. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Hunt, Jerry Coleman Hunt and Larry Avilia Hunt, and his sisters Ellendale Hunt, and Mary Ruth Hunt.

Mr. Neil was a loving husband, Father and Grandfather, he will truly be missed. His life occupation was construction (finishing   and hanging sheetrock). He also loved fishing, NASCAR but most of all he loves spending time with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 46 years, Glenda Clark Hunt; one son, Jonathan Lynn Clark (Jessica) of Pembroke, NC; one brother, Terry Hunt (Laura) of Lumberton, NC; four sisters, Janice Sanderson (Bobby) of Pembroke, NC, Carolyn Brewington of Lumberton, NC, Wanda Chavis (Roger) of Lumberton, NC, and Gwanda Hunt of Pembroke, NC; three grandchildren, Alexis Clark (Johnny), Jonathan Clark, Jr. and Jaliyah Clark; a great-grandchildren, Aviona Scott, all of Pembroke, NC; and a host of relatives and friends.

The visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, with funeral to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Fairmont, NC.
