Nathan "Franklin" Lovett, age 82, of Lumberton, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025.  He was born on July 25, 1942 to the late Bill Lovett and the late Jennie Enzor Lovett.

After serving several years in the U.S. Air Force, he began working at Lumberton Police Department and later retired as a Captain with Robeson County Sheriff's Department.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving son, Stephen Franklin Lovett, and his brother, Clyde Lovett.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Sara Howell Lovett; a brother, Jack Lovett of Lumberton; and many family members and friends who loved him dearly.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:00AM at Ten Mile Baptist Church with Pastors David McClellan and Danny McLamb officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
