Naomi Blanks Wade, 93, of Lumberton, NC died on Monday, July 20, 2009 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 12, 1916 in Robeson County, NC to Hector T. and Fannie Hammond Blanks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Wade and a daughter, Veronica Wade.

Mrs. Wade is survived by a daughter, Earlene Ashley of Fairmont, NC; two sisters, Jean Brewer of Ivanhoe, NC and Evader Durden of Lumberton, NC; one sister-in-law, Willie Mae Wade of Rockingham, NC; three grandchildren, Norma Burleson, Kellie Ashley and Jeff Ashley and three great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 11:00 AM at New Hollywood Cemetery with Reverend Harold Salmon officiating. A time for visitation will follow the graveside service.
