Nancy Watts Smith, age 73, of Lumberton, NC died on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County on December 13, 1942 to the late Jack and Sallie Jane Meares Watts.  She previously worked at Golden Living Nursing Home as a CNA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Franklin Leroy Smith; brother, Earl Watts; and sister, Betty Lou Anderson.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons, Ronald Lee Smith (Donna) and Terry Mark Smith (Kimberly) all of Lumberton; a daughter, Peggy Cleveland (Bill) of Hamlet; sisters, Annie Ruth Lane of Jacksonville, Mary Frances Taylor of Chadbourn, and Bonnie Boone of Lumberton; grandchildren, Shaun Barkley, Ryan Barkley, Jillian Cleveland, and Emilee Smith; and great-grandchildren, Walker Barkley, Jennings Barkley, Andrew Barkley, and Evan Barkley.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Clewis officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
