Nancy Faye Oxendine, age 69, of Rowland, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.

She was born April 17, 1952, in Robeson County to the late Earlie Carter and Queen Smith Carter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earlie Carter, Jr. and Chan Carter; two sisters, Brenda Carter and Rebekah Carter; a son, William Oxendine, Jr.; and a great-grandchild.

She is survived by her lifelong companion, Garland Oxendine of Rowland; a husband, William Oxendine, Sr. of Rowland; three sisters, Joyce Oxendine, Teresa Johnson, and Ester Carter; two brothers, David Carter and Michael Carter; a daughter, Dilena Oxendine and Terry of Rowland; four sons, David Oxendine, Roy Oxendine (Casey), Matthew Oxendine (Dhani) all of Rowland, and Troy Oxendine (Nicky) of Charlottesville, VA.; two step-children, Michelle (Geno) of Rowland and Eric Oxendine (Crystal) of Tennessee; two special children, Marlena Oxendine and Shania Oxendine; as well as 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Rowland.

The funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Hickory Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Smith Family Cemetery on US 74.
