Ms. Nancy Carolyn Locklear Cummings, age 78 of Fairmont went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 30, 2025 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.

Ms. Nancy was born September 26, 1946 in Robeson County to the late Braxton Locklear and the late Movines Locklear.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Cummings; a son, Robin Cummings; a daughter, Debra Strickland; a brother, Purnell Locklear, and a sister, Priscilla Lewis.

She leaves  to cherish her memories a son, Marty Cummings (Tamela) of Lumberton; a daughter, Carol Locklear (Stuart) of Lumberton; a brother, Fred Locklear (Margie) of Maxton; seven grandchildren, Joshua Deal, Laura Britt (Charlie), Travis Deal (Baleigh), Courtney Strickland (Zharome Carmichael), Austin Cummings, Brandon Cummings and Julius Cummings; four great-grandchildren, Charly Britt, Marshall Britt, Nevaeh Cummings and Remi Deal; a daughter-in-law, Christina Cummings; special friends, Brrandon Walker, Mary and Loretta, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 2:00PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 427 Gaddy Road, Fairmont.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
