Nancy Carroll Lancaster, age 91, of Lumberton, NC passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, July 31, 2025. She was born in Robeson County on September 23, 1933 to Henry Alton Carroll and Margaret Darden Carroll. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years; James Osburn Lancaster Jr., and grandson; Timothy Rice.

Nancy retired from the Robesonian where she worked for many years. She also worked at Joyland Nursery in the baby room. Nancy enjoyed passing time working wordsearch puzzles. She enjoyed working in her yard and could often be found with a rake in her hand. Nancy and James had a great love for antiques. They had a booth to display and sell at the Peddler's Mall.

Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Angela Taylor, Robin Allen and Jeanine Cox (Chris); her brother, Johnny Carroll; three grandchildren, Cameron Taylor (Allie), Chelsea Westenbroek (Michelle), Kevin Cox (Jessica); four great-grandchildren, Jordan Gilstrap, Caiden Westenbroek, Kyler Westenbroek, Hailey Cox and one great-great-grandchild, Hartlen Cox.

Friends and family are welcome to visit at the home of Jeanine Cox.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Meadowbrook Cemetery, 400 E. 24th Street, Lumberton, NC with Rev. David Carroll officiating.
