Nancy Sease Shannon Ervin, age 87, of Fairmont, NC passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024. She was born February 23, 1937 in Newberry County to the late James Shannon and the late Aurelia Sease Shannon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Ervin, Sr. a son, James Raleigh "Jimmy" Ervin; two brothers, Jim and Bill Shannon.

Ms. Nancy is survived by three sons, Jay Vance (Tammy) of Miami, Fl., Gordon Caldwell, Ervin Jr. (Kristen) of Mt. Holly, NC, and Brady Grier Ervin of Charlotte, NC; three daughters, Lana Bass (Donald) and Dana Bailey (Bill), both of Fairmont, NC, and Vee Ervin Daniel (Kenny) of Prosperity, SC; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Ervin of Greenwood, SC; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Bass Cemetery off Mattie's Farm Road in Fairmont, NC. Family will visit with friends after the service at the home of Lana and Donald Bass.
