N. Julius Davis' Obituary
Julius "Bud" Davis, age 87, of Lumberton, NC died on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC of March 30, 1929 to the late Fred and Myrtle Prevatte Davis. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and then was employed as a crane operator at Bethlehem Steel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William D. Davis; and a sister, Mary Ellen Blackburn.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Martha L. Davis of the home; son, Curtis W. Davis (Sandra) of Clayton; daughter, Brenda Lovin (Jerry) of Raleigh; brother, Jimmy Davis of Lumberton; sister, Rosa Carnes of Lumberton; grandchildren, David Neely and Taylor N. Davis; and great-grandchildren, Ashlee Neely and Colby Neely.
A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. LeRoy Burke officiating. Burial will follow the service at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to be made to Southeastern Hospice House, 1000 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358.
