Myrtle Rose Brigman Pate, 84, of Lumberton, NC died on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC on March 30, 1927 to the late Harvey Brigman and Sarah Mincey Brigman. She previously worked as a salesperson for a fabric store.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clayton Pate and a daughter, Dianne Shipman.

Mrs. Pate is survived by a son, John Robert Pate and wife Barbara of Charlotte; a daughter, Vickie Torres and husband Peter of Pflugerville, TX; a sister, Pauline Brigman of Lumberton; three grandchildren, Paige Amstutz, John C. Pate and Christopher Pate; and seven great-grandchildren, Caden, Parker, Lainy, Raegan, Lexi, Sawyer and River.

An entombment service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Gardens of Faith Mausoleum in Lumberton. Entombment will follow.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
