Myrtle Rose Oliver Floyd, age 61, of Tobacco Rd. Orrum passed away Monday, June 23,2014 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Olivet United Methodist Church with Rev. Delma Cribb officiating. Burial will follow in the Marietta Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 6-8pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. She was born November 1, 1952 in Robeson County. She worked as a Social Worker with Robeson County DSS. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Carl "R.C. Oliver. She is survived by her husband, Fred Floyd of the home; her mother, Lida L. Oliver of Fairmont; one son, Frederick Floyd and special friend Laura both of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Harris Oliver of Fairmont; one sister, Betty Karl Britt and husband Dixon of Lumberton; a nephew, Samuel Britt and wife Brittany of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; two great nephews, Maddox and Sawyer Britt also of N. Myrtle Beach, SC. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Olivet United Methodist Church Olivet Church Rd. Marietta, NC 28362 and Southeastern Hospice House 1100 Pine Run Dr. Lumberton, NC 28358.
