Mrs. Myrtle B. Miller, 85, was born on October 8, 1930 to the late Mary Elizabeth Meares and Melvin Harrison Baxley. She began her eternal journey to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2015.

Mrs. Myrtle was preceded in death by her loving husband, Van C. "Zebbie" Miller, and their son, Chester Stuart Miller; and her siblings: Julius Baxley and wife Pearl, Raymond Baxley and wife, Margaret, Rowland Baxley and wife Carolyn, Rudolph Baxley and wife, Mary, Carl Melvin Baxley, and Eva Sessoms and husband Robert.

Mrs. Myrtle worked for the Department of Transportation and retired after 17 years to care for her ailing husband. She attended West Lumberton Baptist Church for over 30 years and was a member of the Willing Workers Class.

She leaves behind her children: Karen Miller of the home, Ronnie Miller of Lumberton, and Jeff Miller and wife Pam of St. Pauls; and a granddaughter, Brittany Miller.

The family would also like to acknowledge her caregivers: Sandra Locklear, Teresa Patterson, and especially Erica Locklear.

A time of visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at 3:00 PM at West Lumberton Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Foreman officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
