Myrtle O. Lowery, age 81, of Fairmont, Passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at her home.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 3:00PM at New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church in Rowland.

Burial will follow in the New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM prior to the service at the church.

She was born August 25, 1934 in Robeson County to the late Frank Oxendine and Ethel Graham Oxendine.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon "Tommy" Lowery; a brother, Samuel Oxendine; one sister, Ester Rae Wiliams.

She is survived by five sons, Lee Edward Lowery and wife Jennifer, Jimmy Dean Lowery and wife Nancy, Gray Leon Lowery, James Rae Lo9wery, and Martin Dale Williams, all of Fairmont; two daughters, Sue Ransom and husband, Rev. Bruce of Lumberton, and Carolyn Green and husband Cowboy of Bladenboro; one brother, Frank "Junior" Oxendine of Lumberton; one sister, Patricia O. Graham of Lumberton; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; a special uncle, Elmer Hammonds; a special niece, Vanessa Hunt; a special nephew, Thurman Leroy Williams.
