Myrtle Locklear Lewis, age 76, of Rowland, NC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 26, 1949 in Robeson County to the late Jasper Locklear and Sarah Campbell Locklear.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Lewis; and two sisters, Bessie Hunt and Mary Mitchell.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Brian Locklear (Veronica) of Lumberton; three daughters, Renee Demery (Dewain) of Rowland, Janna Hunt (Dennis) of Laurinburg, and Zenia Locklear of the home; two brothers, John Locklear (Lola) of Greenville, NC and Joseph Locklear (Debbie) of Copperas Cove, TX.; two sisters, Phyllis Oxendine (Vernell) of Rowland and Betsy Rose Jones (Jody) of Rowland; seven grandchildren, Candace, Garrison, Brittany, Taylor, Madison, Hunter, and Logan; seven great-grandchildren; a special niece, Celeste Hunt; special nephew, Terry Oxendine; two special cousins, Rosie Jones and Barbara Barnes and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 6;00-8:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont. Family will also receive friends at 3115 West Dew Road, Rowland.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 2:00PM at Harvest Church of the Assembles of God, 986 Raynham Farm Road, Rowland.

Burial will follow in New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery,3396 Iona Church Road, Fairmont.
