Mrs. Myrtle Hayes Johnson, age 91, of Lumberton, formerly of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Wesley Pines Retirement Community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Jimmy Johnson of Fairmont, NC; her daughters, Barbara Goodwin (Bill) of Garner, NC, Patty Sue Scott (Mallory) of Dillon, SC, Nancy Clonch of Charleston, SC and Dianne Worley (Richard) of Myrtle Beach, SC; one half-brother, Johnson Hayes of Hope Mills, NC; one half-sister, Esther Lucas of Wilson, NC; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 4:00PM at First Baptist Church, 416 S. Main Street, Fairmont with Dr. Jesse T. Yarbrough officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 3:00PM, prior to the service, at First Baptist Church in Fairmont.
