Myrtle Lenora Harper, age 79, of Proctorville, NC passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.

Myrtle was born November 19, 1943 in Robeson County to the late Worth Barnes and the late Emma Bass.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Leon Harper; one brother, Robert Barnes; and one sister, Grace McCormick.

She has two daughters that loved and adored her. She had a great love of hummingbirds and cardinals. She was a loving and doting grandmother to her two grandchildren. She was a longtime active member of Proctorville Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Darla Dean and husband Dr. Steve Dean of Sumter, SC and Sonya Harper of the home; and two grandchildren, Dylan Dean and Daniel Dean.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday January 26, 2023 at 2:00PM at Proctorville Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.

A Visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday January 26, 2023 from 1:00PM-2:00PM at Proctorville Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.
