Myrtle Taylor Davis, age 79, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Glen Flora in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC on March 7, 1935 to the late Carson and Ada Blackburn Taylor. She worked in sales for Mackie Vending. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Charles Davis of the home; a son, Eddie Davis and wife, Donna of Lumberton; brothers, William Taylor of Lumberton, and Benny Taylor of Florence, SC; sisters, Dorothy Hornbuckle of Lumberton, Arlene Hornbuckle of Bladenboro, and Sarah West of Erwin; two grandsons and one great-grandchild. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bruce Brumfield and Rev. L.F. Hatchell officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.
