Myong Ok Yang, 81, of Lumberton, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, in her home surrounded by her family. Myong was born in Seoul, Korea on May 29, 1938.

She is preceded in death by her father, Chung Kook Yang; her mother, Soon Rye Lee; and an infant daughter, Jeanette Tyndall.

She is survived by her four children: Jenny Miller & husband Thomas of Lumberton, Theresa Peters & husband Steve of Lumberton, Robert Tyndall, Jr. and wife Kelly of Hope Mills and William Tyndall & wife Michelle of Fayetteville; two sisters, Kyeongok Yang Currie of West End, NC and Jungok Yang Kim & husband Kilsang of Arizona; one brother, Hyechul Yang & wife Yuejeong Lee Yang of Long Island, NY; along with 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives & friends.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, August 24, 2019, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Sang Park officiating.
