Mrs. Murline Walters Britt, age 85, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on August 22, 1934, to the late Melvin Walters and the late Thursey Rice Walters.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Morris Britt, and eight siblings.

She is survived by two sons: Wayne Britt and wife Debbie of Fairmont and Micky Britt and wife Angie of Lumberton; two daughters: Sharon B. Long and husband Dan of Lumberton and Donna Dent and husband Jay of Fairmont; five grandchildren: Shauna Hinds, David Floyd, Nicole Hinds, Matthew Britt, and Paige Britt; and one great-grandson, Bradley Floyd.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Catherine Stafford for all your visits with and care toward Murline. It meant so much to her and to us!

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Lumberton. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM with Rev. Paul Arnold, Rev. Charles Brust, and Rev. Gary Deese officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
