Monroe Carr Gibson
Monroe Carr Gibson, 92, of 405 Barker Ten Mile Road, died Wednesday, March 19,
2008 at Southeastern Hospice House. He was born to the late Ralph H. Gibson and
Gertrude Robertson Gibson on July 10, 1915 in Liberty County, Florida.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Rose Gibson; his son, Harry
Hutchinson Gibson; daughter-in-law, Jane Smith Gibson; grandson, Justin Gibson
Merritt; brother, L.P. ??Pete? Gibson; and sister, Mildred Gibson Wright.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Carr Gibson and wife, Jerri of Lumberton; 3
daughters, Alice Rebekah Gibson Merritt and husband, Garry, Lilli Anne Gibson Phillips
and husband, Al and Gwen Gibson Eckerson and husband, Todd; sister, Frances Gibson
Proctor of Tallahasee, FL; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Gardens of Faith at 4:00 p.m.
with the Rev. Jimmie Tatum officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 22, 2008 from 3 to 6 p.m. at 405
Barker Ten Mile Road.
