Mona Kaye Locklear age 48 of 3570 Regan Church Rd. Lumberton died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Fairmont at 2:00 PM with Rev. James Earl Jones, Bishop Lee Hunt and Apostle Arthur Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow in Lumbee Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont from 7-9 PM and other times at the home of her sister, Effie Benjamin, 5000 Willow Oak Drive in Lumberton.

She was born July 2, 1962 in Robeson County, NC.

Mona didn\\chr(39)t have any natural children but she shared her love and care with all her nieces, nephews and great nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Joe Locklear and Betty Ruth Brooks Locklear.

Ma. Locklear is survived by her companion, Chip McNeill of the home; one brother, David Micheal Locklear and wife Sandra of Fairmont, NC; four sisters, Dr. Josephine Locklear and husband, Hervie of Fairmont, NC, Effie Locklear Benjamin and husband, Arthur of Lumberton, NC, Vanessa Rose Locklear of Lumberton, NC and Shelia Anne Locklear of Fairmont, NC.
