Mollie Lee Locklear Jacobs, age 79, of Lumberton, NC died at Southeastern Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. She was born on December 3, 1929 in Robeson County to Garfield Locklear and Veater Hunt Locklear. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Edmond Jacobs, Sr. and a son, Baby Jacobs.

Mrs. Jacobs is survived by five sons, James Jacobs, Jr. and wife, Rosa Lee, Jackie Jacobs and wife, Ruth Ann, Stevie Jacobs and wife, Brenda Dale, Ricky Jacobs and wife, Connie, and Richard Jacobs and wife, Patty Faye, all of Lumberton, NC; three brothers, Norman Locklear of Fairmont, NC, J.D. Locklear of Stanton, VA and James A. Locklear of Fairmont, NC; four sisters, Betty Lois Chron of Stuarts Draft, VA, Mary Lowery of Fairmont, NC, Mary Lois Chavis of Fairmont and Christine Colvin of Belair, MD; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Saddletree Church of God at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 28, 2009 with Bishop Kenneth Locklear, Rev. Donald Chavis and Rev. Ronald Scott officiating. Burial will be in Oxendine Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Saddletree Church of God.
