Minnie Ophelia Sinclair, age 85, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 18, 1929 to the late Johnny Troy and Savannah Smith Sinclair. She previously worked as a machine operator for Converse. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, James Willis Sinclair and Walter Mitchell Sinclair; and sisters, Ola Hammonds, Sally McLean, Earlena Hammonds, Ruth Neal Sinclair, and Tessie Davis. Ms. Sinclair is survived by a son, Dwayne W. Sinclair (Cheryl) of Summerville, SC; daughters, Deborah Sinclair and Adrian Sinclair-Davis (Jerry) all of Lumberton; sisters, Christine Davis, Martha Sinclair, Norma Sinclair, all of Lumberton, and Eula Mae Tyndall of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. John Mitchell officiating.
