Mrs. Minnie Lee Jones Locklear, age 78, of Lumberton, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at her home. She was born in Robeson County on May 14, 1937 to the late Toby Jones and Jessie Bell Jones. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Autry Locklear.

Mrs. Locklear is survived by two sons, Jason Locklear of the home and Van Jones of Shannon, NC; five daughters, Cynthia Locklear of the home, Debris Locklear, Terri Lynn Hammonds and Christine Hernandez, all of Lumberton and Lisa Ann Hunt of the home; one sister, Wanda Lee Fields of Lumberton, NC; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and special friends, Ruth Locklear, Emma Jane Maynor and Billie Carol Hammonds.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday evening from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5t h Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 3:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Doug Campbell and Rev. Ricky Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Robeson Memorial Park.
