Milton "Sonny" Lindberg Kinlaw, age 94, of Lumberton, NC, died Sunday, June 6, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on May 23, 1927 to the late Ralza Braxton Kinlaw and the late Emma Kinlaw. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and he retired from the NC Department of Transportation.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David "Sig" Kinlaw; two sisters, Elsie Kinlaw Rozier and Clementine Kinlaw Singletary; and two nephews, Thomas Wayne Kinlaw and Charles Braxton Rozier.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice Penny Kinlaw of the home; special nieces, Helen Odom and Linda Hedgpeth; a sister-in-law, Alda Jackson Kinlaw of Lumberton, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Rev. David Hawes and Dr. Phillip Hamm officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends and loved ones at the graveside.
