Mr. Mitchell "Mickey" Boyd Mincey, 79, of Shallotte, NC, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 15, 1943 to the late Boyd & Evelyn Mincey. He was formerly employed with NC Dept. of Transportation until retirement.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Sanders, and his brother-in-law, John Sanders.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Sadie Smith Mincey of the home; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Kinlaw and Annette Dent, both of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; three nephews: Jim & John Sanders and Mitchell Cox; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. Rory Thigpen and Rev. Jim Sanders officiating.
