Mr. Michael Wayne Owens, age 33, of Matthews, NC, formerly of Lumberton, NC, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019. He was born in Robeson County on November 11, 1985 to Bobby Wayne Owens and Katherine Sealey Owens.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jimmy D. Barnes and Lena Owens Barnes of Fairmont, NC, and his maternal grandparents, Robert M. Sealey and Jean Sealey of Parkton, NC.

Along with his parents, he is also survived by his wife, Kristi Hurst of Greensboro; aunts and uncles: Donna Faye Hodges (Ed, Jr.) of Fairmont, NC, Sharron Reagan of Holden Beach, NC, John "Bob" R. Sealey (Susan) of Parkton, NC, and William "Bill" G. Sealey (Tammy) of Parkton, NC; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, November 15, 2019, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating.
