Michael Wayne Meroney's Obituary
Michael Wayne Meroney, age 58, of Lumberton, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born November 3, 1959 in Richmond County. He was formerly employed with the City of Lumberton.
He was preceded in death by his father, L.E. Walters, and a brother, Kenneth Meroney.
Michael is survived by his mother, Evelyn Walters of Kannapolis; his wife, Lynn Watts Meroney of the home; his children: Kenneth Michael Meroney and wife Becca of Lumberton and Lindsay Nicole Meroney of the home; one brother, James Meroney of Lumberton; and one sister, Glenda Keziah of Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, September 2, 2018, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor Mark Meadows and Pastor Sam Powers officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens.
