Michael Wayne Locklear, age 50, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 in Columbia, SC. Michael was born December 11, 1971 in Robeson County, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Locklear.

Michael worked in construction for several years. He loved his family and loved spending time with his son, "the apple of his eye". Michael had a loving and kind spirit. He was always willing to help other people.

He is survived by his parents, Cathy Locklear Hammonds and James Hammonds of the home; one son, Jayden Michael Locklear of Fairmont, NC; one daughter, Arizona Locklear; two brothers, Bobby Wayne Locklear and James Derick Hammonds, both of Fairmont, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022, at 11:00AM at Bear Swamp Baptist, 1948 St. Anna Church Road in Pembroke, NC.
