Mr. Michael Hugh Lewis, beloved father, 57, went home to God on the evening of Saturday, March 5, 2022. He was born May 12, 1964 to the late Billy Ray & Margaret Smith Lewis. He was a brilliant mind and a loving spirit. He enjoyed fishing, racing, and reading, especially his Bible. He was a master carpenter with an eye for fine detail. He will truly be missed.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Ray Lewis, and a nephew, Joseph W. Lewis II.

He is survived by his son, Michael Hugh Lewis II and wife Latasha; his daughter, Angela Nicole Lewis and husband Kevin; six grandchildren: Malachi, Brandon, Candise, Cheneice, Courtney, and Sophia Catherine; and five siblings: Billy D. Lewis and wife Diane, Lisa Green, Joseph Lewis and wife Amanda, Ed Raeford Lewis and wife Dana, and Randy S. Lewis.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Luther Sanchez and Bro. Glenn Norris officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
