Michael Keith Sweatt, 70, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at UNC Health in Lumberton, NC.

Mike's greatest joy in life was playing music with his family and just being around family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, L.G. Sweatt and Margaret Sweatt; his wife, Deborah Sweatt; and a son, Nathan Sweatt.

He is survived by a son, Matthew Sweatt (Kim); two sisters, Sharon Sweatt and Sara Sweatt Strickland (Billy Jr.) all of Lumberton, NC; a brother, Bondsey Sweatt (Wanda) of Bristol, Va.; two stepchildren; six step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Edward W. Bolton, Jr.; and a whole host of nieces and nephews that loved him very much, including a special niece, Deena Whitney, who was also his caregiver.

The visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, with Rev. Bondsey Sweatt and Rev. Joe Grice officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton.
