Michael Sprunt Floyd, 52, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and formerly of Fairmont passed away from ALS, Friday, January 11, 2019 in Ft. Lauderdale Florida.

Michael lived in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. for many years and worked for American Airlines for over 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dixie Davis Floyd; his maternal grandparents, William James Davis and Pearline McCormick Davis; his paternal grandparents, Hinnent Sprunt Floyd and Ruth Williams Floyd.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, James Sprunt Floyd and Pat Taylor Floyd of Fairmont; one brother, Col. Drake Floyd and wife Melissa Floyd; two step-brothers, Thomas Wayne Taylor and wife Phyllis Taylor and Chris Taylor and wife Sherry Taylor; two nephews, Matthew and Kyle Floyd.

A Memorial Service and A Time of Visitation will be held from 2:00PM-3:30PM Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.
