Michael "Mike" Carl Tyson, age 58, of Lumberton, NC died on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was born in Columbus County, NC on March 18, 1959 to the late Melton Ray Tyson, Sr., and Carolyn Johnson Tyson. He was the owner-operator of Tyson's Restaurants.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Tyson is survived by his mother, Carolyn Tyson of Lumberton; his wife, Glenda Stone Tyson of the home; sons, Michael Justin Tyson (Tiffany) and Joshua Ryan Tyson (Terra) all of Lumberton; brother, Ray Tyson (Brenda) of Lumberton; and grandchildren, Morgan Tyson, Riley Tyson, Krislyn Tyson, and Emma Tyson.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, February 8, 2018, from 6:00-7:30 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Gary Strickland and Rev. Kenny Ray Allen officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials are encouraged to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
