Michael Gene Britt, age 49, of Lumberton, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Whiteville after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on May 24, 1975.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Earnell Britt; his paternal grandparents, Junior Earnell Britt and Nelda Rose Britt; and his father-in-law, Croker Bass.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa "Missy" Britt, of the home; two sons, Shane Britt and Trey Britt, both of Lumberton; his mother, Paula Downing Stallings (Joe) of Lumberton; one brother, Ricky Britt of Lumberton; two grandsons, Gabe Britt and Brent Britt; his maternal grandmother, Frances Dent of Holden Beach; his mothers-in-law, Pam Davis (Rod) of Ocean Isle Beach and Joyce Bass of Lumberton as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 12:30-2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. George Connor officiating. Burial will conclude at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.
