Moses Gaston "MG" Floyd, 83, of Lumberton, NC, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 28, 2022. He was born in Robeson County, NC on August 14, 1939 to the late Dewey & Cleo Floyd. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and later spent his years working in construction as an electrician.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Euland, Jake, and Kermit, and four sisters: Berta, Eris, Bobbie, and Carol.

MG is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patsy; two sons, Donnie (Robbi-Shan) and Brian (Heather); three grandchildren: Whitney Strickland, Dylan Floyd, and Kortnee Floyd; three great-grandchildren: Noland and Avery Strickland and Kalaiya Pittman; three brothers: Ray Floyd, Morris Floyd, and Giles Floyd; two sisters, JoAnn Rushton and Reba Britt; many nieces and nephews; and his special fishing buddies: Ernie Locklear, Ken Hill, Dewayne Smith, Glenn Horton, and Tim McColskey.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Pastor Mike Bowen officiating.
