Merline Sylvia Lewis' Obituary
Merline Sylvia Lewis, 81, of Norment Rd. in Lumberton made her journey to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 1, 2017.
Merline was born on June 12, 1936 to the late Dewitt and Neva Tyner Smith. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Grandma who loved the Lord, her family, and the beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, and 8 siblings.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Maurice Winfred Lewis of the home; two sons: Maurice Dwayne Lewis and Jerry Dewitt Lewis and wife Donna; a daughter, Elizabeth Merline Wilcox and husband Chuck; a brother, Dewitt Smith, Jr. and wife Margaret; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Raft Swamp Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Mark Hall officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 5, 2017, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
