Mary "Mendy" Morris, 57, of Fairmont passed away suddenly on March 3, 2023.

Mendy was the beloved wife of Robert Lee; preceded in death by her parents Horace Biggs Johnson and Lynda Lewis Johnson as well as her husband, Alan Morris; beloved sister of Joseph Biggs Johnson (Amy); aunt of Maggie and Jacob Johnson; God-daughter of Shirley Worwax; dear step-mother of Bridget Bryant (Zane); granny of Breanna, Alandis, Zoey, Noah, Eli, Jonah, Zaden, and Blakelee. She was a very special friend of Dr. Kathryn Combs and her husband, Wayne. Mendy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends she considered family.

Mendy was a self-less soul who always put others ahead of herself, both two-legged and four-legged. Her pets were her children in many ways and her dedication to animals extended to her work in animal clinics throughout Robeson County. Mendy was passionate about baking and recently established Ruby's Sweet Sensations that served the local community. However, Mendy's love for her family superseded all else.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Floyd Funeral Services in 1549 Marion Stage Rd. Fairmont, NC. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 4pm at Iona Presbyterian Church, 6281 Iona Church Rd., Fairmont. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Iona Presbyterian Church in care of John Morgan, 1500 Alexander St., Fairmont, NC 28340.
