Melodi "Joye" Prevatte Davidson, age 55, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at UNC Southeastern Health in Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on Sept. 30, 1966 to the late Bernice Prevatte and the late Jeanette Freeman Prevatte.

In addition to her biological parents, she was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Willie and Evelene Hardin and a sister, Iris Hester.

Joye is survived by her children, Christina Faith Prevatte of Columbuia, SC and Ryann Prevatte of Lumberton; two step-brothers, Graham Keith Hardin and Randy Kevin Hardin (Lisa), all of Lumberton.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
